Branding and Website Refresh for a Massage Therapist
This massage therapy branding and website refresh helped Bodywork Spa Jackson Heights create a more flexible, professional brand presence for a diverse client base in Queens, New York. Through logo design, brand messaging, visual identity design, and web design, By The Water Studio clarified the spa’s positioning and built a brand system that supported stronger bookings and a more cohesive customer experience.

Challenges
-
The brand has a diverse target audience but its previous identity appealed heavily to just one segment.
-
The previous logo had legibility issues when scaling and could not adapt to different platforms. Additionally, the need to include the whole name of the business in the logo created difficulty designing for scale.

Opportunities
-
We distilled the brand’s core to “Accommodating” to simplify its messaging and clarify its brand purpose. This was done through a word map visualizing the brand’s essence and serves as the starting point for developing brand positioning and messaging.
-
We redesigned their logo and created a guide for their colors and typefaces creating a base foundation for their visual identity. The brand guide serves as a reference for designers, writers, marketers, and other creative professionals when expressing language, tone, and visual elements.

Results
-
With the rebrand and refreshed website, Bodywork Spa Jackson Heights had a 20% increase in bookings within the first two months of launching.
-
Bodywork Spa Jackson Heights now has a strong brand foundation that it can build upon. It has a clear messaging framework to express their brand both verbally and visually.
